Frequently Asked Questions

  • We fell in love with the food and vibes of Valle de Guadalupe when we first visited with our friend Jared O’Roark in May 2022! We knew almost immediately that we wanted to celebrate our official union with friends and family in this gorgeous spot.

Fun fact: Bruma Wine Garden and Fauna Chef David Casto Hussong’s The Baja California Cookbook is published by Ten Speed Press, the imprint Claire currently works at, and was edited by her manager!

  • Just like any other international travel, you will need your passport (or passport card if you have one)!

  • We recommend booking as soon as possible! The Valle has become quite a popular destination; think of it like the Napa of Mexico. Check the Travel page for more information.

  • Yes, and we recommend it! There are no Ubers/Lyfts or taxis in the area. Check out the Travel page for more details on driving there, when to leave, road safety, the necessity of car insurance in Mexico, and hiring a driver around the Valle so you don’t imbibe and drive!

  • Plan to arrive at Bruma Wine Garden at 5 PM. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. We’ll have a cocktail hour with tasty bites and drinks followed by a delicious dinner from Fauna with dancing until 12 AM. Get ready to party it up!

  • The dress code for the welcome dinner is dressy casual.

The dress code for this wedding is cocktail/formal. There are no specific colors you need to wear, but please avoid wearing white!

Both the welcome dinner and wedding are entirely outdoors, so plan accordingly. It’ll be quite warm during the day (70s/80s) with a cooler night (60s). Please refrain from wearing stilettos as the ground is mostly dirt and gravel.

  • Please let us know through the RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions! We will do our best to accommodate for both the welcome dinner and the wedding.

  • You can RSVP anytime on the website. Please RSVP no later than December 31, 2023.

  • While we love your little ones, our welcome dinner and wedding are adults-only events. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

  • Since we imagine folks will be spread throughout the Valle for the weekend, we will not have a shuttle service.

There is plenty of parking at both venues for the welcome dinner and wedding!

  • Your presence is our gift! If you’d like to contribute to our honeyfund, you can do so by sending the amount of your choice to @cxyee on Venmo or 510-913-3603 on Zelle.
